SO WHY DO I NEED IT THEN?

The pH of your intimate parts is slightly more acidic than the rest of your body to better protect it from bacteria, fungus and yeast. We have formulated the Willy WASH to match this pH so you can clean this area without disrupting your natural defences in the process. We've also carefully selected ingredients for a sensitive clean - no harsh ingredients, but also, no BS science.

See below for a de-mystified explanation of EVERYTHING we put in this Intimate Wash. Remember, chemical names can seem intimidating and scary - but the whole world, natural and unnatural, is made up from chemicals. Look no further than the original source of all life itself, DiHydrogen Oxide, otherwise known as water.

AQUA: AKA Water

GLYCERIN: A naturally occurring moisturiser that keeps the skin lipids healthy.

COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE: a mild-moderate cleaning ingredient that makes bubbles. The quantity used in the Willy Wash definitely falls at the "mild" end of this spectrum.

DISODIUM COCOAMPOHDIACETATE: a very mild cleaning ingredient often used in baby products.

ROSA DAMAESCENA FLOWER WATER: a fragrance derived from a flower. There have been various claims about the benefits this this naturally occurring ingredient - but the science is mixed. We just like the smell. 

SODIUM CHLORIDE: AKA salt, like you might add to your food. Good for thickening the mixture.

PHENOXYETHANOL: A safe and gentle moisturiser. See our comment below on preservatives - they are essential.

PANTHENOL: Another moisturiser that is good for the skin lipds.

BENZYL ALCOHOL: Another gentle preservative

CITRIC ACID: Used to improve the skin appearance and balance the pH of the wash.

SODIUM BENZOATE /  ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN / DEHYDROACETIC ACID: Preservatives get a bad rep: but they are present in ALL cosmetics and necessary for keeping harmful bacteria from getting in the wash. Ours have been carefully selected to keep you safe.
